EVER felt like anything you write is trash? Well I’ve felt that way for the last month or so, so I’ve produced little of note to share. But despite that I’ve managed to jot down random musings and the occasional six worder on my phone and a bedside notepad. Please enjoy 🙂
Three iron. Pin distance: 2 miles.
Daily, seagull plundered McDonalds. Currently grounded.
A love story: Wi-Fi password shared.
Zoo broken into. Pandemonium! People freed.
Crooked picture. Family never were prioritised.
Drug money distributed evenly among officers.
Astronauts returned: heroes welcome. Unwitting hosts…
“Thinner! THINNER!” they screamed. Models disappeared.
Criminal elements — in the science project.
Love the Wi-Fi one! Sounds like a 21st century love story!

Happy New Year and Slainte!
The one about drugs reminded me of a chapter in Freakonomics, about police officers and prostitutes.

I’ve been feeling the same way about my writing these days.
I chuckled at this one (and felt a little guilty about it):
“Thinner! THINNER!” they screamed. Models disappeared.”
Happy New Year, Fionn. 🙂

Maybe that time of the year?
Thanks for picking that one out, much appreciated.
And all the best for 2019 🙂

Perhaps. Now that the festive period is over, maybe our writing will improve. 🙂
Thanks, Fionn. Hope you have an excellent year ahead.

Been having a month like that myself. Maybe the end of the year brings out the ‘God, what a waste of time’ in all of us? The positive is, January is motivation month.
Anyways, love these. My favs: 2, 3, & 6 because they made me chuckle. And 5 because so much bittersweet in so few words.

Thank you Ashlee 🙂
Yeah could be the time of year. I think creativity really need to be nurtured too and I probably haven’t put enough work in to justify fruits of the Labour yet expecting quality output 🤔

But what do you think makes it trash? (and why does so much trash get to publication?). If only we knew, eh!

It’s very subjective of course
But it’s a general feeling that what I’m doing now isn’t of quality and also an inability as the creator to really have a valid opinion

Lol
It isn’t really
It’s that creative insecurity leaking through- just keep writing
