A WEEK CAN fly by. How is that possible? I’m not here to debate time and existence or reality as we know it. Instead enjoy the six word stories inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s, ‘For sale: baby shoes, never worn‘ from the 1920’s. As is frequently the case my stories are dark or horror in nature (mostly) – and please join in:
.
Blue line. She wept. I dialled.
Unrecognisable. But wait! Who supplied lime?
Lesson : Steel isn’t stainless – Inmate #627581
Caveman greeted timetraveller’s handshake with club.
Mass robots never materialised. Humans: predictable.
ER admission: cuts from broken dreams.
.
I’ve been looking for some esoteric significance to that inmate number but can’t think of anything.

Yeah the number was plucked out of thin air, no meaning to it.
Nelson Mandela ran through my mind when I wrote it, famous for his number although I dont remember it myself.

ER had me thinking of her maj. When I slapped myself it became quite poetic and I got it (been a weird day) Some crafty lines, that one being my favourite.

This one is so sad. “ER admission: cuts from broken dreams.” You express their pain so well.

Thanks Jenn. I liked the idea of the meta being seen to in the emergency room, whatever those may be.

The one about the time traveller and the caveman made me chuckle. Was the caveman’s name Fred Flintstone, by any chance? 😉

No. They didnt yet have an alphabet. He was know to all the locals as loud grunt lol.
Thanks for reading magarisa ☺

Did the locals actually speak a language that had the words ‘loud grunt’, or did they just refer to him by imitating his loud grunt? 😜

Perhaps when time machines are real (if ever) we will know the answer to that 🙂
