Weekly Six LV – Six Word Stories

MORE long stories short, means more six worders! These seem to be getting longer and longer in between posts… Work no matter what kind really does suck the life force and creativity out of a person. I’m in awe of people who manage to churn out posts, stories etc like machines, with full time jobs.

My only consolation is that I’m not wasting my spare time slumped on a sofa, but the urge to write while still there is less of a force than it used to be and I just don’t get hit with moments of inspiration that often now – I miss that. Haven’t written a short story in many months :/ although I did have an idea today which I plan to type up.

It’s doubtful you came here for the whingeing. On with the show! For the regulars; as macabre as you can expect. Enjoy:

Cot bars snapped. The experiment worked!

Goldfish wished…had memory of stereotype.

They looked peaceful – through one-way glass.

“I’m an axe murderer.” “Get in.”

Freezer for Sale: fits 4 bodies

War zone: bombs, heard before lightning.

Freedom of speech. No tongue now.

  1. The freezer made me giggle actually… don’t know why 🙂 … and here is mine:

Poisoning your well, murder of crows.

    1. 😀👍

Hmm very clever I’m thinking of Aesop fable crows filling a well up with poisonous things

  2. Ok I LOVE the axe murderer one. It sounds like the beginning of a beautiful, homicidal, hilarious friendship, and I’m not sure what that says about me, but let’s not dwell on that, eh 😂. As for your lack of inspiration nowadays, in my experience, that tends to happen when one stops writing. It really is almost like the muse leaves because we stop writing and only returns if the muse sees us putting in the effort, clacking away at our laptops.

That being said, I wish you luck in your writing endeavors, Finn!

    1. Haha, thanks for your explanation 😂🙂

And yes, like anything doing less of it, usually leads to less productivity.
I’ll try and get more done, and a few stories I’ve written awhile back I can put up.
